Bitcoin – A Secure Investment for the Future

The general idea is that Bitcoins ‘ are ‘mined’… interesting term here… by solving an increasingly hard mathematical formula -harder as more Bitcoins are ‘mined’ into existence; yet again interesting- on a computer. Once created, the new Bitcoin is put into an electronic ‘wallet’. It’s then feasible to exchange real goods or Fiat currency for Bitcoins… and vice versa. Furthermore, as there’s no central issuer of Bitcoins, it’s all highly distributed, hence resistant to being ‘handled’ by jurisdiction.

Naturally proponents of Bitcoin, Those who profit from the growth of Bitcoin, insist rather loudly that ‘for sure, Bitcoin is cash’… and not only that, but ‘it is the best money , the money of the future’, etc.. . The proponents of all Fiat shout just as loudly that paper money is money… and most of us know that Fiat newspaper isn’t money by any means, as it lacks the main attributes of genuine money. The question then is does Bitcoin even be eligible as money… never mind that it being the money of their near future, or the very best money ever.

Compared to Fiat, Bitcoin doesn’t Do too badly as a medium of exchange. Fiat is only accepted in the geographic domain of its issuer. Dollars are no great in Europe etc.. Bitcoin is accepted internationally. On the flip side, very few retailers now accept payment in Bitcoin. Unless the approval grows , Fiat wins… although at the cost of exchange between nations.

The primary condition is a great deal Tougher; cash must be a stable store of value… now Bitcoins have gone out of a ‘value’ of $3.00 to about $1,000, in only a few years. That is about as far from being a ‘stable store of value’; since you can buy! Truly, such profits are an ideal example of a speculative boom… like Dutch tulip bulbs, or real mining companies, or even Nortel stocks. As we have just stated, bitcoin revolution app is something that cannot be ignored – or at least should never be ignored. There are so many possibilities and variations – twists and turns, that maybe you see how difficult it can be to include all bases. So we feel this is just an ideal time to take a break and examine what has just been covered. This is important information that can help you, and there is no questioning that. If you continue, we know you will not be disappointed with what we have to provide in this article.

Of course, Fiat fails here as well; As an example, the US Dollar, the ‘primary’ Fiat, has dropped over 95% of its worth in a few decades… neither fiat nor Bitcoin qualify in the most important measure of money; the capacity to store value and preserve value through time. Real money, which is Gold, has shown the capacity to hold value not only for centuries, but for eons. Neither Fiat nor Bitcoin has this critical capacity… both fail as cash.

Finally, we return to the second Attribute; this of being the numeraire. Now this is really interesting, and we can see why the two Bitcoin and Fiat neglect as money, by looking closely at the question of the ‘numeraire’. Numeraire describes the use of money to not only store value, but to at a sense step, or compare value. In Austrian economics, it’s considered impossible to really quantify value; after all, value resides only in human comprehension… and how can anything else in consciousness really be measured? But through the principle of Mengerian market action, that’s interaction between offer and bid, market prices can be established… if just momentarily… and this market price is expressed concerning the numeraire, the most marketable good, that is money.

So how do we set the value of Fiat… ? Through the idea of ‘buying power’… that is, the value of Fiat is determined by what it can be exchanged for… a so called ‘basket of goods’. However, his clearly implies that Fiat has no significance of its own, but rather value flows from the worth of their goods and services it may be traded for. Causality flows from the merchandise ‘bought’ into the Fiat number. After all, what difference is there between a 1 Dollar bill and a hundred Dollar invoice, except the number printed on it… along with the purchasing power of this amount?

Gold, on the other hand, is not Measured by what it deals for; rather, uniquely, it’s quantified by another physical standard; from its own weight, or mass. A g of Gold is a gram of gold, and an ounce of Gold is an oz of Gold… regardless of what amount is engraved on its surface, ‘face value’ or differently. Causality is the contrary to that of Fiat; Gold is measured by weight, an intrinsic quality… maybe not by buying electricity. Now, have you really any idea of the worth of an oz of Dollars? No anything. Fiat is just ‘measured’ with an ephemeral quantity… the number printed on it, ‘ the ‘face value’.

Bitcoin is further away from being The numeraire; not just is it simply a few, much as Fiat… but its worth is measured in Fiat! Even if Bitcoin becomes internationally recognized as a medium of exchange, and even though it succeeds to replace the Dollar as the approved ‘numeraire’, it can not possess an intrinsic measure like Gold has. Gold is unique in being quantified by a true, unchanging physical quantity. Gold is unique in preserving worth for centuries. Nothing else in touch of humanity has this exceptional blend of qualities.
